Braylon Edwards sounded like a teenager entitled social media

Let's hope Braylon Edwards doesn't like corned beef. Or potato latkes. Or what, actually, on the Deli Zingerman menu.

Because it's hard to imagine him showing his face at the Ann Arbor institution. Or another place in the Corn and Blue character after what he tweeted on Saturday.

That's embarrassing.

And he knows that. Or he won't delete the tweet.

Tweets that spoke to disappointment among some at UM's fan base, due to social media - Edwards was hung Monday by the Big Ten Network, where he worked as an analyst - the acoustic nature and voicelessness of our public discourse.

Film review: Michigan's conservative violations have long been lost

In the same way, Edwards gave us support.

A counterattack from his tweet - in which he calls a weak U-M soccer player, others are afraid and says that the program is "rubbish" - reminds us that this player is still a child. And if not children, then between children and adults.

At least, they're amateur and shouldn't be a name that says "fans" like Edwards routinely focus on them.

Do you want to criticize player games?

OK.

It's just that, don't make it private. Or destroy their characters when they shouldn't.

Following Edwards tweet:

"(Cesar) Ruiz is weak, lines are weak, he (Patterson) is afraid, (obviously) Michigan's mistakes are so predictable ... Michigan football is sad one thing ...... Rubbish."

If the tone sounds normal, it should. Wherever you exchange, someone, somewhere, shouts bile into emptiness. Electronics or vice versa.

We are almost immune. But not completely. This is a good thing, and a reminder that someone still needs to set an example.

That's why Edwards's tweet touched the nerve.

Because he knows better. Because he was at the end of a violent attack like this. The former U-M recipient was a star when he played for Lloyd Carr in the early 2000s. But he also has a problem, especially because he doesn't play games in a way that his coach is comfortable.

It takes time to think about it. Just as he will take this Michigan team too.

If Edwards directs his anger on head coach JI Harbaugh, then he might avoid rebuking the Big Ten Network.

As Harbaugh said on Monday, "If someone wants to attack (character) anyone in the football club, come with me, not young people."

In other words, he is a great man. He gets a lot of money to win and receive criticism - and ongoing research - which is appropriate for the job.

And he must be criticized. He can't do what he has to do.

Windsor: Jim Harbaugh all the hype that he won a big victory

Arguing whether he will be part of a fun sport. But call Ruiz weak? Call quarterback, Patterson, scared?

These are the words of a teenager, an angry mind, who is entitled. From someone with a little perspective.

"At the end of our day students, we are college football players," said U-M junior defender Rashan Gary. "... to shoot players and you're an adult, I don't think that's cool."

That's not it.

Both are not doubles, as Edwards did on Monday in a follow-up tweet:

"It's funny that everyone worries that my tweets are compared to real issues, 0-17 on the road against enemy opponents, 1-6 versus rivals and one victory is against 3-9 MSU. The last thing I will ask and really think about this before Are you angry ... is Michigan better than Iowa? "

On the evening of the evening, Edwards finally apologized, although he said that the U-M "still needs to be improved so there is no apology there."

I don't think anyone will argue the last thing. And if Edwards' center point starts, and I think, it's gone in the vitriol crater.

To step on stage is to invite criticism. That's public life.

But there is a border. That should be. You take a cheap shot, it comes with a price.

If nothing else, tweet Edwards reminds us of that.
