Nvidia announced the GPU 2000 RTU series with '6 times more performance' and beam detection

Nvidia introduced the new GeForce RTX 2000 graphics card at Gamescom in Germany today. Although we have seen several teasers and many card leaks recently, the GeForce RTX 2080 was finally official. Based on the new Turing architecture on Nvidia, the RTX 2080 is designed to replace the popular GTX 1080 and drive the effect of a new radiation detector in the upcoming game.

On the Nvidia event, the company launched the RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. Nvidia promises "up to 6x the performance of previous generation graphics cards," and real time beam tracking for this card.  The RTX 2070 card will start at $ 499, with the RTX 2080 at $ 699, and the RTX 2080 Ti starts at $ 999. Nvidia also offers the Founder Edition for these three three graphics cards. The GeForce RTX 2070 Founders Edition will be priced at $ 599, with the RTX 2080 Founders Edition at $ 799, and the RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition at $ 1,199. The Edition Founder Card will be sent on September 20th.

will offer more performance (for ray detection) than the Nvidia Titan XP card. The RTX 2080 Ti is the first, which records 1350MHz with a CUDA 4352 core and 11GB GDDR6 RAM (full specifications here), while the usual RTX 2080 will be activated at 1515MHz with a 2944 CUDA core and 8GB GDDR6 RAM (full specifications here). Meanwhile, RTX 2070 records 1410MHz, with 2304 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 RAM. Nvidia recommends that PC players have a 650W power supply, because the RTX 2080 base pulls up to 215 watts of power.

The main promise of this new card is light tracking, which is a rendering technique that produces direct reflection of light and cinematic effects that can make the game look more like a movie. The Ray Detector is something PC players have said for years, and has long been considered a "holy game" of video games. Nvidia is now trying to bring it in real time to the public.

Light tracking support and support in the new RTX 2000 series are all thanks to the latest Turing Nvidia architecture. "This is a new computing model, so there are new ways to think about performance," said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. "The new Turing processor is just a monster, it's amazing." Nvidia now measures the performance of its tracker as the main target for this new card. Huang showed several demonstrations of existing cards and new rendering techniques with the RTX series.

The spectacle demonstrations are extraordinary, but most are limited to the physical material being modeled, and the reflection and lighting at home. This is an important world game support, and Nvidia promises to track the rays of real time in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, and the achievement of performance in lighting and other effects in Battlefield V and Exodus Metro. The Tomb Raider demonstration is incredible, with real shadows and illuminations shown at night.

Demo Exodus demonstrations involve sunlight from windows entering the room through a window in real time, with the Nvidia RTX emitting light in the room much more precisely so that game developers can hide enemies and other objects without seeing the entire room light in unrealistic mode.

Battlefield V is the most interesting example of the Nvidia RTX system. Blast reflections are given right for nearby objects such as cars, tanks, and land and soldiers in the first WW2 shooter game. Fire and explosions will reflect metal on the rifle or even seep into older weapons in Battlefield V.

Nvidia promises that more games will get tracker support than just three titles displayed today. The company revealed that 21 games will get immediate RTX support, including Hitman 2, We Happy Few, PUBG, and Final Fantasy XV. 21 simple games to launch, but Nvidia needs to continue to encourage game developers to adopt this new technology. Nvidia also collaborated with Microsoft to encourage beam detection, thanks to the new DirectX Raytracing (DXR) API on Windows 10 to complete the Nvidia RTX work. The epic game will also make real-time ray detection available to Unreal Engine developers by the end of the year.
